The old farmstead of Pentwyn is set on high ground looking down the Yscirfechan Valley close to the village of Merthyr Cynog with the most beautiful panoramic views over rolling farmland in the valley to the Brecon Beacons.

The Barn has been renovated to a very high standard by local craftsmen using traditional skills, with local oak and stone extensively utilised to provide a superior rural location.

A beautiful, very spacious and well equipped kitchen with a double electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and a freezer. A utility room with a second fridge and a freezer, washing machine and a separate toilet. The dining area is large enough to comfortably accommodate 15 people. There are comfortable sofas and chairs set around a very efficient new woodburning stove, TV with DVD. Double doors lead out to a terrace with garden furniture and the most extraordinary panoramic views over to the Brecon Beacons. 

Upstairs to three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 - double bed and a single. Bedroom 2 - two single beds. Bedroom 3 - family bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. En suite shower room with handbasin and toilet. A large family bathroom with a bath, handbasin, toilet and large double shower. 

Bedlinen and towels provided. Electricity and oil central heating. Welcome Pack, with bread from Merthyr Cynog bakery and other tasty Welsh produce, Ample parking. WIFI, games room and hot tub available for a small additional cost. Garden and terrace with furniture and BBQ. Limited mobile reception. Cot and high chair available. Stabling and grazing available by agreement .



Wonderful place for a family reunion. Lots of space in the Barn and Farmhouse to spread ourselves round. Loved the light on the mountains and the wood-burning stove in the evening. The evidence of God’s creation here is awesome!
